Pieter van de Koolwijk

Graduated from Tilburg university in September 1994, majoring in economics and specializing in monetary, credit and banking studies.

I started as a corporate banking trainee with Banque Paribas Nederland on January 1, 1995, and worked at the Utrecht and Maastricht branches and in a variety of departments: credit; documentary credit; payments; treasury; research, analysis and management; and private banking. As a commercial trainee, I visited clients with an experienced account manager or branch director and wrote my first credit proposals and company analyses.

At the end of 1995 I became account manager corporate banking in Maastricht, where I worked very closely with the branch director. I learned a great deal from him.

In 2001 I was given the opportunity to become the director of our Eindhoven branch. This was my first management role, heading both the corporate and private banking teams.

My love of the private banking business had not gone unnoticed by management, and in late 2005 I was asked to become the national head of private banking. I accepted this challenge with great enthusiasm, and I still very much enjoy working at GE Artesia Bank.
